Sintra's Historical Wonder Walk

At the train station building in Sintra or your hotel in central Sintra

Local guide in English, German or Spanish

Transport to the Pena Palast and entrance ticket

4 Hours

Sintra is a charming region with a wealth of astonishing attractions and landscapes. Numerous palaces and villas hide in the middle of a densely wooded, green mountain range which dives into the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

Get embraced by the beauty of this place and hike with me to the National Pena Palace and Park on top of the mountain. We will start at the train station and wander around a nice green park until we reach the historical center, from there we will fetch private transportation to take us to the Pena Palace. Here we will walk up until the palace for breathtaking views over the region and visit the interior of this fascinating place, still decorated as if the king and the queen would live here. Then we will wander around on its beautiful garden, get to a nice viewpoint and descend until the lake entrance.

After exiting the Pena Park we will start the real hike down the mountain on some steep steps, but before we will stop on an almost secret superb viewpoint where you can see the Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, Seteais, and all the region until the Atlantic.

We will follow a path about 1,5 km down and pass Vila Sassetti until we reach the historical center, where I will show you around and give you all the information you need to explore Sintra and its remaining monuments.
